Global Search

Overview

With the release of NimbleStory 3.X.X we are excited to deliver new search functionality for users that span more than one organization. This new tool allows you to sort and filter by any Organization, Project, Content, or Tags that have been created.

You can access the Search by selecting the magnifying glass icon on the main navigation on the left side of the screen. You will notice that the Search experience is like what you might see in your Project or single Organization Search spaces. In this new space, you can sort, text search, and apply filters like you can today. However, you can now apply filters and search for content across more than a single Organization and preview its content.

Applying Filters

Our new filters allow you to select multiple Organizations that you have access to and their contents within. Filters have now been broken into three sections one for Organizations, Projects, and Content. Within each section, there will be specific options to help you search for content that is most relevant to you. Once you have selected the filters that are relevant to you, you must select “Apply Filters” to view the results.

Previewing Content

Global Search provides you an elevated view to look at content across multiple locations. When you select an asset from the results view you are not taken to the asset directly but can see a preview of it and any other previewable content associated with it. Additionally, access the selected piece or its Project in a new tab in your browser.

You can exit the Global Search view by selecting the back arrow on the primary navigation bar on the left. This will return you to the last Organization you accessed.
